Cryotherapy Skin Lesion Removal
Safe & Professional Removal of Benign Skin Lesions
Most appointments take under 20 minutes
Private one-to-one beauty studio

Cryotherapy is a safe and effective treatment for many common benign skin lesions, including skin tags, milia, cherry angiomas (red spots), age spots and certain warts. Treatments take place in my private beauty studio in Lyde Green, Bristol using professional CryoIQ technology.
Cryotherapy works by applying extreme cold directly to the lesion, causing the unwanted tissue to naturally break down and fall away during the healing process.
Most treatments take only a few minutes.
Cryotherapy may be suitable for:
✔ Skin Tags ✔ Milia ✔ Cherry Angiomas. ✔ Age Spots. ✔ Seborrhoeic Keratosis ✔ Warts & Verrucae
Some pigmented lesions may require medical screening before treatment.

What Are Skin Tags?
Skin tags are soft, harmless pieces of skin that commonly appear on:
• Neck • Underarms • Eyelids • Under the breasts
They often catch on clothing or jewellery, so many people choose to have them removed.

What Is Cryotherapy?
Cryotherapy uses extremely cold nitrous oxide to freeze unwanted benign skin lesions.
The treated cells naturally break down over the following days while healthy new skin replaces them.
✔ Usually takes only a few minutes
✔ No cutting or stitches
✔ Minimal downtime

What To Expect
During Treatment Most clients describe the sensation as:
- Cold - Sharp - Tingling - Mildly uncomfortable for a few seconds

After Treatment The area may:

This is a normal part of the healing process.
Healing times vary depending on the lesion and area treated.

Professional Wart & Verruca Treatment
Warts and verrucae often require a different treatment approach to skin tags and other benign skin lesions because they can be deeper and more stubborn. At Jax-Glam Beauty I also offer a dedicated Cryotherapy Wart & Verruca Treatment, allowing extra time for assessment, treatment and aftercare.
This service is suitable for many common:
✔ Common warts
✔ Plantar verrucae (on the feet)
✔ Stubborn warts that haven't responded to home treatments
Treatment uses the same professional CryoIQ technology, although several sessions may sometimes be needed depending on the size and age of the wart.
Initial treatment – £110
Follow-up appointments (if required) – £55

What to Expect After Treatment
Following treatment, the area may:
• Become red or slightly swollen
• Feel itchy, warm or sensitive for a short time
• Form a blister (this is completely normal)
• Develop a dry scab or crust
• Darken before naturally shedding away
New skin underneath may appear pink or lighter initially — this will gradually settle as the skin heals.
Healing times vary depending on the lesion and area treated.
Important Aftercare Advice
✔ Keep the area clean and dry
✔ Allow any scab or crust to fall away naturally
✔ Continue washing and showering as normal
✔ Pat the area dry gently after cleansing
✔ Use SPF 50 daily on treated pigmented areas
Please Avoid
❌ Picking, scratching or rubbing the area
❌ Harsh exfoliants or scrubs directly on the treated skin
❌ Excessive sun exposure without SPF protection
If a Blister Forms
Blistering is a normal response to cryotherapy and may last a few hours or several days depending on the area treated.
Please do not pop the blister.
If it bursts naturally:
• Keep the area clean
• Apply a small amount of antiseptic cream if needed
• Cover with a plaster if the area rubs on clothing
Healing Time
• Small lesions may heal within 1–2 weeks
• Larger or thicker lesions may take 3–6 weeks
• Some lesions may require more than one treatment session

Cryotherapy FAQs
What is Cryotherapy?
Cryotherapy is a treatment that uses controlled freezing technology to safely remove unwanted benign skin lesions such as skin tags, milia, cherry angiomas and pigmentation.
The extreme cold causes the targeted tissue to break down naturally while minimising damage to the surrounding skin.
What skin concerns can be treated?
Cryotherapy may be suitable for:
Skin Tags
Milia
Cherry Angiomas (red spots)
Age Spots / Sun Damage
Seborrhoeic Keratosis
Warts & Verrucae
Some benign pigmented lesions*
*Certain lesions may require medical screening before treatment.
Does Cryotherapy hurt?
Most clients describe the sensation as:
Cold
Sharp
Tingly
Mildly uncomfortable for a few seconds
Treatment is very quick and discomfort usually settles rapidly afterwards.
How long does treatment take?
Most appointments take around 15–30 minutes depending on:
The type of lesion
The size
The number of areas treated
The actual freezing treatment itself usually only lasts a few seconds per lesion.
What happens after treatment?
The treated area may:
Become red or slightly swollen
Form a blister
Darken
Develop a small scab or crust
This is completely normal and part of the healing process.
The lesion will gradually dry up and naturally fall away as the skin heals underneath.
How long does healing take?
Healing varies depending on the lesion and the area treated.
Typical healing times:
Small lesions: around 1–2 weeks
Larger lesions: up to 3–6 weeks
The new skin may initially appear pink before settling.
Will I scar?
Cryotherapy is designed to minimise damage to surrounding skin and generally heals very well.
However, as with any skin treatment, there is always a small risk of:
Temporary redness
Pigment changes
Mild textural change
Scarring (rare)
Following aftercare correctly helps reduce risks.
Can I wear makeup afterwards?
If the treated area is on the face, it is best to avoid makeup directly over the area for the first 24 hours where possible.
Can I go in the sun afterwards?
You should avoid excessive sun exposure during healing and use SPF 50 daily on treated areas.
This is especially important for pigmented lesions to help prevent pigmentation changes.
How many treatments will I need?
Many lesions respond well in a single session.
However, some larger or deeper lesions may require additional treatments for best results.
Can all moles be treated?
No.
Suspicious or undiagnosed lesions cannot be treated cosmetically.
If there is any uncertainty, you may be asked to obtain medical screening before treatment.
Is Cryotherapy safe?
Cryotherapy is a well-established treatment that has been used for many years to treat benign skin lesions.
At Jax-Glam Beauty, treatments are carried out using professional cryotherapy equipment in a clean, private salon environment.
Do you treat skin cancer?
No.
I am not a doctor and cannot diagnose or treat skin cancer.
Any suspicious lesions should always be checked by a medical professional.
Where are you based?
Appointments take place at my private 1-to-1 beauty studio in Lyde Green, Bristol (BS16), South Gloucestershire — near Kingswood and Downend with easy access from the M32/M4.
