Dermaplaning Facial in Bristol: Smoother Skin & Peach Fuzz Removal
Share this post
Makeup catching on peach fuzz or uneven texture?
Sometimes it’s the little things that make your skin feel less polished: fine facial hair catching the light, foundation sitting unevenly, or a complexion that looks a little flat.
A dermaplaning facial removes fine peach fuzz and dead surface skin, helping reveal a smoother-feeling, fresher-looking complexion.
At Jax-Glam Beauty in Lyde Green, Bristol, you can enjoy your treatment in my private 1:1 home salon—with a little time to relax while I look after your skin.

What does dermaplaning do?
Dermaplaning uses a sterile blade to carefully exfoliate the surface of the skin and remove fine, soft facial hair, also known as peach fuzz.
It combines surface exfoliation and temporary hair removal in one treatment.
What benefits can you expect?
Smoother-feeling skin
Removing dead surface skin and peach fuzz helps leave your face feeling softer and smoother.
A fresher-looking complexion
Exfoliation can help brighten the appearance of skin that looks dull.
A smoother base for makeup
With less peach fuzz and surface build-up, foundation can sit more evenly on the skin.
Visible peach fuzz removal after one appointment
You don’t need a course to remove fine facial hair. Dermaplaning can be enjoyed as a one-off facial or maintained with repeat appointments as the hair grows back.

Will the hair grow back thicker?
No. Dermaplaning cuts the hair at the skin’s surface; it does not change the follicle or make the hair grow back thicker or darker.
The hair will grow back naturally, so the smooth finish is temporary.
Dermaplaning or a chemical peel—which should you choose?
Choose dermaplaning if your main priority is peach fuzz removal and a smoother skin surface.
Consider a chemical peel if you want exfoliation tailored to concerns such as uneven tone, blemishes or signs of ageing. Different peel formulations target different concerns.
Both exfoliate, but chemical peels do not remove peach fuzz. The best choice depends on what you want to improve and what suits your skin.
Will my skin be red—and when can I wear makeup?
Your skin may look a little pink or feel sensitive afterwards. This varies from person to person and usually settles within a day or two.
Can I go out afterwards? You can usually carry on with everyday plans, but protect your skin from the sun and avoid excess heat, saunas and strenuous exercise while following your aftercare advice.
When can I wear makeup? Allow at least 24 hours before applying makeup, and wait longer if your skin still feels irritated. This gives freshly exfoliated skin time to settle.
Booking before a special occasion? Leave a few days between your facial and your event, especially if it’s your first dermaplaning treatment, so you have time to see how your skin responds.
How often should you book?
Dermaplaning can be a one-off treat or part of your regular facial routine. Your repeat appointment timing should allow your skin to recover between treatments and reflect how quickly your peach fuzz returns.
I’ll explain the appropriate timing and aftercare at your appointment.
Is dermaplaning suitable for everyone?
I’ll check your skin before treatment. Active breakouts, irritated skin or a flare-up of certain skin conditions can mean dermaplaning needs to be postponed or another facial would be more suitable.
Afterwards, follow your aftercare advice, protect your skin from the sun and avoid adding extra exfoliation before your skin is ready.
